I'm Kellie J., the breeder behind Texas Gold Rush located in Wichita Falls, TX. We care deeply about this breed and are proud to be responsible Golden Retriever breeders. We treat our dogs & puppies like family and give each pup all the loving care we can to prepare them for their forever homes. We're proud of our program and look forward to helping you find your next family member!
Q. & A. with Kellie
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding with a simple thought, My dog is SO prefect that I would LOVE to have one of her puppies one day. That thought turned into tons of research on how to do it correctly and responsibly. I searched for and found the PERFECT stud that had everything I wanted, health testing and temperament, which was very important to me. The stud's owner offered to sell him since she was no longer interested in breeding, so we decided to make Henry a part of our family!
What makes your program special?
My program is based around temperament above all else. My goal was to provide service dog quality pups, calm, sweet and smart, which I accomplished within our very first litter with one going on to be a current Service Dog at Harvard and another currently a Therapy Dog in Training. Facebook page is Texas Gold Rush
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
