I'm Amy C., the breeder behind Texas Hill Country Sheepadoodles & Bernedoodles located in Blanco, TX. We are dog lovers through and through! Our pups are such an important part of our lives, and we can’t imagine being without them. It’s an amazing experience as breeders to provide others with puppies that we know will bring them the same joy!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We are cattle ranchers, my dad and grandfather ranched their whole lives, so we have great respect and love for land and animals. We have many years experience in breeding horses, cattle and dogs and have a great relationship with my veterinarians. We still have a few cows and baby calves and puppies are just my favorite. I am happiest when caring for these precious new borns.

  • What makes your program special?

    our dogs are family. They are in the home with us and yet have lots of acres for them to run and explore. I select the very best temperaments to breed as well as health and structure. I make sure my dogs go to loving homes and am available for the life of the dog. We have many repeat families. Your new puppy has been held, loved on, and spoiled from the moment they are born.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, black and white, tri-color, phantom, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Amy

Amy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“All pups are sold with a health guarantee, UTD shots, vet check & from genetically health tested parents. Pups are litter box, dog door trained & have been handled & loved from the day they arrived! Deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred to another litter. I make no guarantees that the same dogs will breed again.”

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Temperament Test

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Profile, DNA Coat/Trait Panel, DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
