Q. & A. with Catherine
Why did you start breeding?
We have always been invested in the well-being of animals, and we love papillons dearly. We decided to start our own breeding program so that we could share with others the joyful experience of owning these incredible dogs!
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are an integral part of our family and daily life. This creates the ideal environment for puppies. From birth, they grow in a secure, loving environment where they know that they matter to their family - that they have a purpose.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and black, red white and sable, brown and white, black red and white, and black brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

We had an awesome experience with The Barking Cow Farms! Before Sassy was even conceived we met her parents and Catherine kept in touch with
us regarding pregnancy, birth date, and letting us know that she was ours, the one female of the litter. We were so excited that we picked her up the morning she was ready to leave her birth mom and come live at her forever home. We’ve had two papillons in the past, so we knew what to expect with a papillon. Sassy is pure papillon and so smart, well behaved, wants to please, and just a “happy pappy!” Thank you for our baby!

I can’t thank Catherine and her family at the Barking Cow Farms enough for our new edition to the family!! Our puppy came to us happy and healthy! Also I love that my puppy was already used to cats, big dogs, and kids so she’s already socialized and unafraid. Catherine responded to all my questions within an hour, usually faster. I just can’t say enough good things!! You can tell her puppies are raised with love, care, and expertise. Thank you Catherine, we are so in love
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
