I'm Jeffrey & Amanda H., the breeder behind The Bearded Lady Miniature Schnauzers located in Dozier, AL. We have a genuine love for this breed of dog, I (Amanda), have grown up and been around miniature schnauzers most of my life. Once the puppies go to their new homes, it brings us such joy to see first photos at their new home and how they are settling in with their forever families.
Q. & A. with Jeffrey & Amanda
Why did you start breeding?
We decided to get into breeding at the suggestion of a lady (and friend) who used to breed schnauzers (who we got our schnauzers from), since she was retiring indefinitely from it. She thought we would love it and our kids would enjoy it and it would be good for them to have the experience, and she was right!
What makes your program special?
We think what makes our breeding program special is that we genuinely care about our pups and want them to live their very best lives and want them matched to the perfect family for them. We want all of our customers to feel special almost like they have joined a family when they choose to purchase their pup from us. We want to be able to see the journey over time with our clients and their pups.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white, black and silver, and salt and pepper. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
