I'm Valerie, the breeder behind The Ewe Crew Homestead LLC located in Pocatello, ID. We breed working livestock guardian dogs registered with the Maremma Sheepdogs Club of America. Following MSCA Code of Ethic breeding standards. We are dedicated to providing farm, ranches and homesteads with outstanding, wonderful, loyal protective and health tested dogs.

Why did you start breeding?
We needed some livestock guardian dogs to protect our sheep, chickens and barn cats from coyotes, foxes, racoons, birds of prey and stray dogs. We fell in love with the Maremma Sheepdogs and wanted to share the breed with other homesteads, ranches and farms.What makes your program special?
We have carefully selected our breeding pair for health, temperament and working lines. Our puppies are handled daily; socializing them with livestock, local farm noises and people. We work hard to maximize their development during this early critical learning period.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Valerie
Valerie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Valerie partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

“The price includes MSCA limited registration, a five-generation pedigree, current age-appropriate vaccinations and a one-year health guarantee. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of size. Includes limited registration and microchip. Additional fees apply if you desire full registration with breeding rights.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Program update on 11 May •…Maremma Sheepdogs are great protectors once mature. Only one registered 12-week male puppy left in this year's litter. Homesteads, farms or ranches reserve yours today.

Program update on 04 May •…We only have the one male 11-week old registered Maremma Sheepdog puppy left from this year's litter. He has been hanging out with the chickens, meeting the new born lambs from this week and learning additional lessons from momma.

About Petra
Petra is a large devoted working livestock guardian dog. She is affectionate with her family and those in her charge. She takes her guarding instincts very seriously; patrolling the perimeter of the pastures to ensure there are no intruders. Maremma Sheepdogs are best suited for rural, spacious environments like farms or large properties where they can work as independent, instinctual livestock guardians for animals like sheep, goats and / or poultry, bonding deeply with their charges. She is MSCA registered with all recommended health clearances, including PennHip certified.

About Diesel
Diesel is a large devoted working livestock guardian dog that takes his evening duties very seriously; keeping coyotes and other potential predators at bay. His father was directly imported from Italy and his mother from Canada. Maremma Sheepdogs are best suited for rural, spacious environments like farms or large properties where they can work as independent, instinctual livestock guardians for animals like sheep, goats, or poultry, bonding deeply with their charges. He is MSCA registered with all recommended health clearances, including PennHip certified.
