I'm Melissa K., the breeder behind The French Tribe located in Vanderbilt, MI. Our journey begins with healthy, happy parents. Health tested parents, each litter is carefully planned out, pups are educated on a fantastic dog curriculum, Puppy Culture and ENS. All of our parents are well mannered, have great temperaments. Its important our Frenchies are the best in their beloved breed. Bringing a fantastic fit to their family.

Why did you start breeding?
I've had the joy of owning dogs my entire life. My husband and I had only rescues until 5 years ago. We had the opportunity to purchase from a breeder. She changed our perspective on breeders in general and the huge passion for the breed. Not only from the health testing, but the hands on experience of raising each puppy in a family. We welcome the time to do the same for others!What makes your program special?
We evaluate each puppy providing abundant information and photos to a potential family. Our ultimate goal is to match a puppy with a family for its unique qualities, ensuring lifelong love.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brindle, cream, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Melissa
Melissa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $400 deposit and between $2,400 - $3,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes health guarantee, vaccines, micro chipping deworming, ENS and an extensive socialization curriculum. Price varied on coloring, gender and potential breeding rights. Deposit may be applied to the next expected litter within a 12 month timeframe.”
Contract & health guarantee
Melissa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
