I'm Leasha & Naomi D., the breeder behind The Golden Garden located in West Point, VA. We have spent years raising healthy and happy puppies! We are dedicated to building the breed by ensuring breed standards are passed down with each of our litters. All Sires and Dams have complete and healthy certifications for DNA and OFA standards. We love the beauty and personality of Goldens, but the health and upholding the breed standard is important. All of our litters are thoughtful, planned endeavors pairing the best with the best!
Q. & A. with Leasha & Naomi
Why did you start breeding?
My daughter and I started this endeavor years ago when she was just starting middle school after we had our first therapy Golden for a few years. It's become a labor of love and to be honest, Golden people are the best! We try to enfold our new puppy families and bring to them the same sense of love and warmth we have for Golden Retrievers.
What makes your program special?
Our girls are a deeply embedded, integral part of our family...a core part of our everyday life and frankly, a whole lot revolves around them! Everything about their pups matters, and this is definitely a labor of love for us.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include golden and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
