I'm Amy and Mike P., the breeder behind The Golden Rule Doodles located in Tolono, IL. We are a small breeder that aims to produce top-quality dogs to live as pets. Our goal is to produce loving companions. We breed for health and temperament above all. Each of our puppies are shown lots of love and affection so they are ready to thrive in their new homes.

Why did you start breeding?
We have always had a love for puppies and dogs. We absolutely fell in love with every aspect of breeding when we got our two original dogs and knew their temperaments needed to be reproduced. We even enjoy continuing to research everything we can about raising happy and healthy puppies. We believe that with breeding, there is always more to learn and ways to grow!What makes your program special?
We feel that our breeding program is special because of all the time and love we put into each puppy. Starting when the puppies are born, someone is with them and their momma at all times for the first three weeks. We spend that time doing early nurturing, stimulating, and socializing with each puppy. We take weekly pictures of the puppies in the litter so that families can see a week-by-week comparison of their puppy growing up. Our puppy families also receive updates when important milestones happen (first wet food, first shots, etc.).What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Poodle puppies are toy size. Goldendoodle puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Maltipoo puppies include red and white. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, and chocolate. Cavapoo puppies include apricot and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“The price includes a one-year health guarantee, 30 days of free pet insurance through Trupanion, a small toy, the first round of puppy shots, regular deworming, and a well-spoiled, well-socialized puppy. It also includes weekly pictures of each puppy starting at birth. The deposit is $400 and guarantees the pick of a male or female. Puppy pick will occur in the order deposits are received. If for any reason we do not have a puppy available for you, then you will receive your deposit back.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Litter update on 23 Jan. •…These Cavapoos are getting to the age where they are so much fun! Their eyes are open and they respond to our voices now. They’ve already had their first deworming and they did very well with it. Currently, they love to cuddle on the couch and be carried around by our kids when they aren’t sleeping and eating with momma Dixie.

Our sweet Parti Goldendoodle LaiLai is a petite, 15-pound bundle of love who brings snuggles and wet kisses to everyone she meets. As a female parti Goldendoodle, her unique coat has a neat blend of colors that make her stand out in any crowd. Even more than her coat, though, she has a wonderful temperament and sweet nature. LaiLai is the epitome of a snuggle buddy. She relishes every opportunity to curl up beside us or the kids. She is also very patient with our kids, us, and other other dogs. She doesn’t mind nail trims, baths, brushing, grooming, thunder storms, etc. LaiLai is incredibly well-mannered and easygoing. Her calm demeanor makes her an ideal companion for individuals and families alike. LaiLai's intelligence and eagerness to please also make her a quick learner, always eager to try new games or learn new tricks.

Odie is a male Goldendoodle. Carefully selected as a great representative of his breed, Amy and Mike decided to make him part of their program. Amy and Mike has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

It was a pleasure working with Amy and Mike to add our new puppy "Belle" to our family. We kept her name and introduced her to our 7 month goldendoodle Snoopy. They immediately became best friends! You can tell that Belle was raised in a loving environment. She adapted amazingly to our household and had no issues whatsoever. She is gentle, loving and very playful. Her tail is constantly wagging! We drove from Florida to pick up Belle. Amy was so good about helping to find a good meeting place to help with some of the distance. I've included some pictures of Belle and Snoopy. One is of her consoling Snoopy after he was neutered! We are more than pleased with our experience dealing with The Golden Rule Doodles. They offered a facetime which was wonderful! Mike and Amy were wonderful and have so much experience! They sent us home with a great folder of info, trucompanion trial and blanket/toy. Vet told us she was in perfect health!
