Q. & A. with Kristi

  • Why did you start breeding?

What began as a simple love for animals has grown into a mission rooted in integrity, care, and respect for the breed. We are lifelong animal lovers dedicated to raising puppies that bring joy to families, while nurturing their physical health, emotional balance, and overall well-being.
  • What makes your program special?

They are part of our family and daily life—running through the yard and napping in the grass on warm Carolina afternoons. Living on a homestead means our puppies are raised with constant interaction, exposure to other animals, and the everyday sounds and rhythms of a household, setting them up for a smooth transition into their forever homes.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Poodle puppies are standard size. Aussiedoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Poodle puppies include sable, black, blue, brown, cafe au lait, silver-beige, parti, and phantom. Aussiedoodle puppies include apricot, brown and white, blue merle, red merle, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Kristi was awesome to work with from the start and has continued to help us have a smooth transition with our beautiful new fur baby. Macie came to us with great socialization, wonderful disposition and so much puppy fun. We couldn’t be happier and I would definitely recommend Kristi/The Klepper Homestead!!!

Writing this review for Ms Kristi and the Klepper homestead I can barely think of any words to express my partner and I’s gratitude for this thoughtful woman and all her experience! We have never felt more secure in any purchase let alone such a large and life-changing one. My partner and I are residents of Virginia Beach, VA and made the journey to get our puppy from Ms Klepper and her homestead in Monroe, NC. Kristi has such an eye for detail and is impressively thoughtful and our new fur baby Wolfie is a perfect example of her care! By 2 months old he knows his name and is potty trained due to the wonderful foundation Kristi laid for him. She made sure to keep us updated in every step of his growth and the adoption process. We received his weekly measurements, loads of photos/videos, and she even even let us video chat with him whenever we requested. Any questions or concerns we could come up with she had information handy to help us feel comfortable and ready. Upon picking him up we received an incredibly convenient care package as well as all our puppy’s documentation including vet /microchipping records & everything needed for him to be registered. Kristi has really thought of everything and we could not be more impressed and grateful! Her exceptional performance as a breeder has me recommending her to any and everyone I know in search of a puppy.
