I'm Kristin L., the breeder behind The Puppy Family located in Eagle Mountian, UT. Welcome! Six years of experience and our carefully designed socialization program ensures our puppies are well-rounded and confident.   • Why did you start breeding?

    My parents bred poodles while I was growing up so I was familiar with the lifestyle. I bought my first Goldendoodle to help heal my broken heart after I had several miscarriages. Shortly after, I learned I would have to do IVF to have a baby. I bred my Goldendoodle to help pay for the procedure and I fell in love with breeding dogs! I eventually quit my job as a nurse to breed dogs full time.

  • What makes your program special?

    We believe we have a special opportunity to work hard to give your future puppy the very best start possible. Our puppies are given Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction. Then our puppies go through a regimented, daily, puppy socialization program with appropriate developmental activities for the puppy's age. These activities are geared towards creating a beloved family dog.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include petite and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, apricot, red, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,250 - $2,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Brucellosis

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Full Embark Panel, Genetic Diversity Test, DNA Coat/Trait Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
