Why did you start breeding?
My journey into breeding began as a professional dog trainer. I quickly realized that genetics and the first eight weeks of a puppy's life shape lifelong temperament and success. Wanting to influence those critical early weeks, I became an ethical breeder focused on health, temperament, early development, and raising confident, well-adjusted companions.What makes your program special?
Our motto, **Tiny in Size. Powerful by Design.** reflects our mission to challenge the "accessory dog" myth. We believe small dogs are capable of so much more than being lap dogs. Through intentional breeding, early development, and training, we're raising TeddyBear Shihpoos with the confidence and temperament to excel as loving companions, therapy dogs, and service dogs.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Getting a puppy from Amy
Amy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Amy partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 9 weeks old.
“Our puppies are temperament tested at 8–9 weeks of age before matching. Families are matched in reservation order based primarily on temperament, lifestyle, and goals. While temperament is our priority, we gladly consider color preferences and do our best to match families with a puppy that offers both the desired appearance and the best temperament fit. ”

“Our price reflects health-tested parents, our Advanced Service Dog Curriculum, temperament testing, age-appropriate deworming, first vaccines, a wellness exam, health records, and lifetime support. . A non-refundable deposit reserves your place on our list and is transferable to another TeddyBear Shihpoo litter within one year of the original deposit date.”

Parent health testing

Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
