I'm Amanda C., the breeder behind Thistlewood Danes located in La Vernia, TX. We are a small family, in-home breeding program In South Texas. We prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that we can and a great start to being a wonderful addition to your family. We raise our Danes as well as the pups in our home. We cherish all of our animals and enjoy sharing our love of Danes with other individuals and families. Our main focus is to provide healthy pups with great temperaments.

Why did you start breeding?
After owning our first Dane, we fell in love with the breed and decided to expand our knowledge and to share it with others. Our Danes are a huge part of our family and we enjoy being able to offer them to other families that are looking to add to their homes.
What makes your program special?
We are an in home operation and our Danes are pets before anything else. We strive to breed the best quality pup for other families focusing on good health and temperament.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white, blue, harlequin, mantle, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Amanda

Amanda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Amanda partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“While I do take the prospective families wants in to consideration, my main goal is to match the right puppy to a forever home. Sometimes, they may not get their first choice, but we do our best to meet both their wants and needs and the pups.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes AKC limited registration, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations with a veterinarian and take home puppy bag. Deposit to hold a puppy is non-refundable and part of the overall price. The deposit can be switched to a puppy at a later date. However, please understand that we do not breed all year round or even every single year.”

Amanda may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Bonnie
Bonnie is AKC registered and a certifiable love bug. Bonnie is a big girls and she loves her people and gets along great with other animals regardless of size. She very smart and has a passion for bread products much to ther owners dismay. Bonnie has undergone some health testing with great results.
