What makes your program special?
We only have a few breeding dogs so they get the upmost attention and care along with their puppies.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include salt and pepper and black and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Walter

Walter has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"The price includes AKC registration (either limited registration or full registration options), age appropriate vaccinations and wormings, tails docked, dewclaws removed, a 3 year genetic health guarantee, and microchipping. Puppies are priced based on sex and AKC registration type - Limited or Full registration."

Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

Wonderful experience with Walter/Thompson Schnauzers. He provided weekly updates and helped answer questions we had before picking up our pup. Very responsive and on time when we met for our pick up. Our pup is now 5 months old, and is very healthy and well adjusted. An extremely beautiful and intelligent dog, that was quickly able to learn the leash, basic commands, and swim. He’s even one of the least vocal and friendliest dogs at our apartment community. We thank Walter/Thompson Schnauzers for an amazing dog.

I had the most amazing experience with Thompson Schnauzers! Walter Thompson was so sweet, personable, and easy to work with! I picked up Max and he was freshly bathed, groomed, and waaayyyy more adorable in person! I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the puppy (personality, hair grade, and level of care) as I had been looking for a miniature schnauzer for the past several months.
