Q. & A. with Julia

  • Why did you start breeding?

Since my grandmother was a breeder and poodles were my passion, it was only natural for me to want to dive into breeding. I have learned so much. When I first started breeding, health testing was just on the horizon. Now, I can't imagine breeding without doing all the necessary health testing. Breeding healthy lines with great temperaments is my goal and I strive to achieve this in every litter.
  • What makes your program special?

We a Puppy Culture with our newborn puppies. This gives them a great start at becoming everything they were bred to be. We begin training them with Early Neurological Stimulation and we end their time with us with a week of intense socialization. If our puppies stay longer, we divide and conquer for training purposes. They are placed in our family homes and given a personalized one on one experience. Our adults and puppies do not live in a kennel or kennel like enviroment. They live with our family and extended family. They are all family members including the puppies, until they are placed in their forever homes.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are petite size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include silver, apricot, black, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Julia and her daughter Jill were both helpful, and definitely know their dogs. We were drawn to our 8 month old puppy by photos on your website, (he was the last puppy of his litter to find his forever home) but most especially by Charlie's bio and personality description. They were very accurate. Charlie is settling in with his new family very well! We're getting to know each other. We have always rescued dogs, and this is the first time we have paid for a specific breed of dog. As active seniors, I appreciated that Charlie was already vetted, neutered, socialized, housebroken and crate trained! We love how friendly and gentle he is, especially with children. And, he is always ready to join in whatever we're doing! Jill asked me to update her on his progress and is so sweet. Thank you for your knowledge, support and a smooth transaction through Good Dog.com Thomas & Patty Smith

We had an absolutely wonderful experience through Good Dog and cannot say enough good things about Julia. From the start, she was incredibly helpful, kind, and knowledgeable, and speaking with her (and some of her family) made the entire process feel so personal and seamless. Our dog is truly an incredible, special companion. The transition bringing him home was so smooth, and it’s clear how much care and intention went into his early life. He has the sweetest temperament, gets along with everyone he meets, and has fit into our home so naturally—it honestly feels like he’s always been part of our family. Julia raises her dogs ethically and lovingly as part of her family, and it really shows in who they become. She continues to check in and support us, which means so much. We couldn’t be happier and would wholeheartedly recommend Julia to anyone looking for a well-adjusted, loving companion.

I adopted Caleb in January and I wanted to wait to write my review until I had some time to get to know my new puppy. We named him Benny and he is curious, cautious cute as can be! Julia and her family we so helpful through the entire adoption process. They answered every question I had (and that was a lot being a new dog owner) and then some. They provided me with everything I would need to get started on my own. Benny was crate-trained, potty-trained and socialized. I wanted an older puppy and Benny was 6 months when we got him. They also traveled to me and brought us Benny. I could not have asked for a better breeder or puppy!! It truly was a seamless transition. They are also still available any time I have any questions. Thank you Julia!!

Julia was great to work with. She even shared videos of our new puppy as we waited to get him. I highly recommend her.
