Meet the breeder

I'm Jennifer F., the breeder behind Haus-Farr German Shepherds located in Ramsey, IL. My dogs are part of the family, are well socialized with kids and handled twice daily. I breed healthy and structurally correct puppies with sound temperaments and social skills. They all experience ENS and sound desensitization from an early age. I take my job seriously, knowing that my puppies will become someone's forever companion.

Q. & A. with Jennifer

  • Why did you start breeding?

My husband purchased my first breeding-age female for Mother's Day, and my program and education of the breed have blossomed from then on. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and I am so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.
  • What makes your program special?

I have a love and passion for what I do and my reward is getting to meet all of the lovely new families that purchase my puppies. Since I am a stay-at-home mom I get to spend countless hours a day with each litter handling and socializing them to prepare them for their new homes. In my breeding program, good health and temperament are essential, and cuteness and love are guaranteed.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include plush and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, bi-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

We had an amazing experience getting our little Freya from Jennifer. She was always available to answer my questions and kept us updated through the whole process. She posted weekly updates of the puppies which was really nice being able to see our puppy grow throughout the weeks. Our puppy is confident, intelligent, and has such a wonderful temperament. It’s obvious our puppy was raised with love and given the best possible start in life. You can tell Jennifer puts her all in these puppies and really loves what she does. If you’re looking to get a german shepherd, I would highly recommend Jennifer, you won’t regret it. Thank you for giving us the perfect addition to our family 🙂

I had lost my German Shepard a month ago and was looking for a new dog when I came across Oliver's (my new puppies)page. I couldn't get him off my mind so I reached out to Jennifer. Jennifer was so easy to work with. She was helpful, responded quickly and very knowledgeable. Now Oliver has become part of the family and we couldn't be more thankful.

I prayed and felt led to Jennifer and my dog, Gideon. Jennifer and her family has done an incredible job with all their dogs. The entire journey of becoming a German Shepherd mom to Gideon was smooth and effortless. Any questions I had were answered promptly. I cannot say enough amazing things about Jennifer at Haus-Farr German Shepherds. From start to finish, the entire process of getting our German Shepherd, Jack, was absolutely incredible. Jennifer was so responsive, kind, and genuinely cared every step of the way. She answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly and made the experience feel exciting and stress-free. She even went above and beyond by helping me find the person/company to transport Jack safely from Illinois to Arizona, which I was so grateful for. That level of care truly speaks volumes about how much she loves her dogs and her clients. Jack is everything we could have hoped for and more. He is the sweetest dog with an amazing temperament, stunning coat, and gorgeous coloring. You can tell he was raised with love and intention. We are so in love with him. I highly recommend Jennifer and Haus Farr German Shepherds to anyone looking for an exceptional breeder and an outstanding experience. I would 100% do this all over again. 🐾💙
