Meet the breeder

I'm Jennifer F., the breeder behind Haus-Farr German Shepherds located in Ramsey, IL. My dogs are part of the family, are well socialized with kids and handled twice daily. I breed healthy and structurally correct puppies with sound temperaments and social skills. They all experience ENS and sound desensitization from an early age. I take my job seriously, knowing that my puppies will become someone's forever companion.

Q. & A. with Jennifer

  • Why did you start breeding?

My husband purchased my first breeding-age female for Mother's Day, and my program and education of the breed have blossomed from then on. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and I am so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.
  • What makes your program special?

I have a love and passion for what I do and my reward is getting to meet all of the lovely new families that purchase my puppies. Since I am a stay-at-home mom I get to spend countless hours a day with each litter handling and socializing them to prepare them for their new homes. In my breeding program, good health and temperament are essential, and cuteness and love are guaranteed.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include plush and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, bi-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

It was a true blessing to have found our beautiful puppy Micah with Jennifer Farr. She was very responsive and we could tell how much love she put into raising our girl. We enjoyed the updates and to watch her grow until she came home!!!

We are so lucky to have found Jennifer. Jennifer was very honest about the puppies personalities, and what dog would be the best fit for our household. She was always very kind and answered all of mine and my wife’s questions almost immediately.  We couldn’t be happier with the puppy we adopted. She was pretty much fully crate trained and has only had a few accidents in the house. We highly recommend Jennifer, and have been raving about her whenever someone asks where we adopted our pup from.

Jennifer is an absolute blessing! I started working with her late last year (2023) to decide on a litter and pup. She has been nothing short of incredible. She always answered my questions in a timely manner and showed great knowledge of the breed, not to mention set us up for success with training & socialization for our pup. I ended up having a pretty big accident and was in a complete panic about if we'd be able to make things work, because we wouldnt be able to bring our pup home on time, but Jennifer was incredibly understanding and worked with us. 🥰 She sent pupdates not only as our pup developed and grew, but beforehand through Alix's pregnancy. I could never recommend anyone more!

Jennifer was extremely quick to respond and answered all the questions we had. She was honest about the personalities of the pups and which ones would be a good fit for our needs. Our girl’s personality was exactly as she described her to be and we’ve been SO pleased with her temperament - so sweet and loves people.

Jennifer was very helpful and responsive. After losing my almost 7-year-old German Shepherd unexpectedly, I was worrying about these health concerns in the new puppy, she assured me and answered all my questions. I love that Jennifer wants to stay connected after the puppy goes home. Jennifer made this an easy and smooth process.
