  • Why did you start breeding?

    As a child, my family raised pet-quality puppies, but I wanted to take it to the next level—striving to improve breed standards and temperaments. Driven by a passion for excellence and love of showing, I’m dedicated to breeding top-quality Akitas that excel both in the ring and as loyal companions.

  • What makes your program special?

    At TLC Akitas, all our dogs are born and raised with us—no random purchases. We pride ourselves on home-bred champions with exceptional pedigrees. Through genetic testing and strict temperament selection, we ensure our Akitas are healthy, well-socialized, and ready to be loyal, loving companions for life.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, fawn undercoat, black, silver undercoat, black, red undercoat, black, brown undercoat, fawn, fawn, black overlay, red, and silver, black overlay. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Ashley

Ashley has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Ashley partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes a 2 year health and hereditary guarantee, AKC Reg & pedigree, microchip, puppy socialization, started on potty training, puppy food, puppy toys, & puppy blanket with momma's scent! Our deposit will reserve your puppy pick, theu are non refundable but always good towards the purchase of one of our puppies.”

Ashley may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    After texting back & forth with Ashley I knew I liked this girl,very knowledgeable about the akita breed and was impressed how many years experience she and her family had with breeding & showing them.after looking at dogs on her TLC website I came across this lil red/ black mask lil guy named at the time Brownie, I was hooked !
