I'm Tommy J., the breeder behind Jones Poodles located in Columbia, SC. Welcome to my Standard Poodle program! I am a Elementary Teacher located in Columbia, SC and a small, in-home responsible breeder dedicated to raising healthy, well-socialized, and loving Standard Poodles with excellent temperaments. My dogs are raised as part of my family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey into breeding began in 2021 when I purchased my male Standard Poodle, Duke. I quickly fell in love with his intelligence, loyalty, personality, and loving temperament. The positive impact he had on my life made me appreciate the breed even more. In 2023, I decided to add a female companion to my family, and over time my passion for the breed continued to grow. 1st litter: 5/20/26

  • What makes your program special?

    My focus is on raising healthy, well-socialized puppies in a loving home environment while promoting responsible breeding practices and positive early development. Both parent dogs are Embark Genetic health tested to ensure your puppy is clear of over 200+ genetic health risks common in Poodles. My goal is to produce healthy, happy, confident companions for loving homes.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Tommy

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Tommy partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“My Standard Poodle puppies are placed in carefully selected homes based on temperament, structure, and overall compatibility with the buyer’s lifestyle. I prioritize long-term, responsible placements where each puppy will be a well-loved member of the family. All potential buyers complete an application and may be contacted for additional questions or discussion to ensure the best possible match. Puppies are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We reserve the right to decline any placement if we feel it is not the right fit for the puppy.”

“Price of puppy will depend on color and gender. Included: ✔️ Vaccinations ✔️ Deworming ✔️ Puppy kit ✔️North American Purebred Registry Certificate. A $200 non-refundable deposit is required and will be applied toward the final purchase price. Deposits secure your place for your selected puppy until they are ready to go home.”
