Meet the breeder

I'm Kait S., the breeder behind Toy Poodle Shenanigans located in Monroe, NC. All my pups are DNA breed & health-tested through Embark. They are all raised in my home under foot. There are no kennels here; as they are family to us! All their babies spend 8 weeks here in a spacious enclosure that stays clean, and are weaned onto Royal Canin food. I let the mamas do their thing, and let nature take its course. All my puppies have dewclaws removed and tails docked. They get 3 dewormings, a grooming, a fecal test, AKC or CKC registration papers, and a 6 week vet exam with their first vaccination (DAPP). They are raised around a big family, lots of socializing, new smells and sounds, time outside, and lots and lots of love. All my puppy families are able to contact me daily, and are able to see their puppy each day through posted pictures and videos. FB: Toy Poodle Shenanigans.

Q. & A. with Kait

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have 8 children, and when our last one went to kindergarten, I still longed to nurture something precious during my days, so I started getting my beautiful poodles. Once I realized I had the money and time and love to breed- a breed I love dearly- it was a natural choice for me.
  • What makes your program special?

My pups have free roam of my home, which is kept clean at all times. They are family, and that means their puppies are family, too. I am able to spend all day and night with each litter, and my puppy families are a part of the 8-9 week journey the entire time.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are toy size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, apricot, black, blue, brown, cream, red, silver, parti, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
