About Noel

Marcia has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

French Bulldog
About Matisse
Matise enjoys a good movie now and then. His favorite activity is waterskiing in the summer and down hill skiing in the winter. He is very patriotic and makes sure to vote every election. He is very proud of his puppies and shows them off to others whenever he can. When he was young he wanted to be an astronaut but after college he went into sales and became very successful selling select dog food and accessories.

About Joi
Joie Da Vie always wanted to be a model in fashion shows. She would watch the fashion shows on TV whenever she had the chance. Her favorite designer was always Perry Ellis and she would make sketches of her favorite Perry Ellis designs. She went to design school in Chicago and that is where she met Matisse at an after school party. They hit it off almost immerdiately and following her graduation she and Matisse were married and had a gala reception afterwards! She still dabbles in design and encourages her puppies to follow their dreams just like she did.

Tra La French Bulldogs reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for French Bulldogs.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Spine (OFA, FCI)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Marcia and Randy are wonderful people who care about breeding healthy dogs. While some breeders make their dogs available at an extremely young age, Marcia and Randy ensure their dogs have plenty of quality time with their littermates and mother that allow them to grow into well-rounded pups, truly ready for adoption. We adopted Mac (nee Henri) in February '25 and he's been a great addition. He's healthy, happy, a real cuddler, and Mr. Popular around our neighborhood. Marcia and Randy were great to work with and I'd recommend anyone who wants an ethically bred Frenchie to reach out to them.
