Seven, mom
Golden Retriever
About Seven
Seven is a very cool dog with a unique personality, a lot of zest for life, and has never met a stranger. She loves to train and is really up for anything. Seven is very biddable, hardworking, and driven. She is on fire in the field. She hunts hard and marks like a dream. She can run a senior level blind with just as much enthusiasm as a mark. She is also very sporty, competing in dock diving events. She has earned her Dock Senior, Junior Hunter title, and her Working Certificate. She achieved her Canine Good Citizen and Novice Trick Dog titles with ease. Seven has 2 HRC Started passes. Even though Seven works hard and trains hard, she is an excellent house dog who will relax on the floor or couch all day. Seven has a true off switch.

Mighty, mom
Labrador Retriever
About Mighty
Mighty is out of the first Trenlock Labradors litter with Bentley and Ace. She is a spitfire dog with a lot of drive and zest for life. She loves working and training, much like her mother! Her strong working ability and drive do not change the fact that she is happy to be a house dog, hanging out with the family, relaxing, or watching movies. She has a strong retrieve drive that was seen from a very young age. We cannot wait to watch Mighty progress this coming year. She loves dock diving and will be competing heavily this year, as well as participating in AKC hunting tests. She earned her Dock Master at her first dock diving event before the age of 1. She has also earned her Dock Senior.
Mighty will be added to the Trenlock Retrievers Breeding Program upon completing and passing all health testing outlined by the Labrador Retriever Club and achieving performance titles.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Good level
Trenlock Kennels & Retrievers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Golden Retrievers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), PRA, Golden Retriever 2, PRA, Golden Retriever 1
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
