



I'm Karissa W., the breeder behind Trillium Spring's Goldens located in Gaston, OR. Trillium Spring’s Goldens is a small Oregon breeding program focused on health, temperament, and thoughtful puppy raising. I am a school counselor, and Trillium works alongside me as a certified therapy dog. Our puppies are home-raised with socialization, enrichment, and temperament testing.

Karissa partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“We take great care in helping each family find the right puppy. After temperament testing at 7 weeks, we consider personality, energy level, confidence, and family fit. We honor gender preferences and accommodate preferred color shading whenever possible. ”

“Price includes AKC Limited Registration, microchip, first vaccines, deworming, vet exam, health records, 2-year health guarantee, and 7-week temperament testing to support thoughtful family matches. . A $500 reservation fee secures your place for a puppy and is applied toward the $3000 purchase price. All puppies are the same price regardless of sex or color.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
