Q. & A. with Wally
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding because my rescue work showed me how critical it is to do it right. After seeing so many dogs suffer from the effects of bad breeding, I made a promise to myself to be a different kind of breeder. My entire focus is on health and temperament—I only breed dogs that I know will be sound, stable, and wonderful companions.
What makes your program special?
My program is built on a rescuer's promise. After witnessing the fallout of irresponsible breeding, my commitment is to the betterment of the Cane Corso. I prioritize what matters most: rigorous health testing and rock-solid temperaments to produce sound, loyal family guardians. My foundation is ethics.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chestnut brindle, black, black brindle, and gray brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

About STELLA
Stella was imported from Serbia from a great lineage of cane corsos. Stella is one of a kind, has a proven temperament. We have a Pomeranian, 2 cats, and a 3 month old newborn baby in our household, and Stella was nothing but gentle with all of them. Stella has done OFA certification for her hips and elbows and has no dysplasia.
TrinityForce Cane Corso reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Cane Corso.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
