Meet the breeder

I'm Kiersten H., the breeder behind Truax Brittanys located in Parkersburg, IA. Our dogs are bred for conformation and intelligence. We strive to have very well rounded dogs. They have been used for hunting, service dogs, falconry, and of course being a loving member of the family!

Q. & A. with Kiersten

  • Why did you start breeding?

My grandparents started breeding Brittany’s in 2008. Since my grandpas passing, I have worked to uphold the high breeding standard that they started.
  • What makes your program special?

We work very hard to have high standards for our dogs. Our puppies are very well socialized and personable.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include liver white and orange, liver roan, liver and white, orange roan, and orange and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
