I'm Megan M., the breeder behind True North Golden Retrievers located in Plainview, MN. We strive to produce quality puppies for families that are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive and have wonderful temperaments. As breeders, we feel a sense of responsibility to prioritize the overall health and temperament of each of our puppies and to ensure that they are loved and well cared for prior to joining their forever homes.

Why did you start breeding?
We got into breeding with our oldest dog Willa. She has such an amazing disposition and personality that we wanted to pass on her traits to her puppies. The fulfillment of seeing new puppies born, watching them grow, and helping shape them and train them in preparation for their new forever homes is truly the most rewarding experience.What makes your program special?
We are a very small program and love each of our puppies like our own! We keep in close contact with all the families who have adopted our dogs and like to stay present in their lives! We are very proud to be breeding these incredible dogs. It is important to us that we are breeding versatile, well-rounded, socialized, and healthy pups for our buyers to welcome into their homes and hearts.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Megan
Megan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $550 - $950 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Also included are a health guarantee, all vetting prior to going home, litter box training and beginning obedience. Oh- and lots of love! Deposits are non-refundable unless a puppy is not delivered by the breeder.”
Contract & health guarantee
Megan may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
