I'm Deborah B., the breeder behind Tulibear Cockapoos of NY & NJ located in Saugerties, NY. Breeding is a labor of love for us. We sleep, with our puppy parents cook for them& plan everything we do around them. The most difficult part is finding parents that have the same commitment that we do. You are looking at a 15 plus year commitment. They need to be family members.
Q. & A. with Deborah
Why did you start breeding?
Growing up my family raised Cocker Spaniels. It was so wonderful to help in the care of these beautiful babies. As an adult I decided that I would love to participate in the miracle of birthing. I am a small breeder so this usually happens once it twice a year. From the time the puppies are delivered I set up camp by their side. It is truly a blessing
What makes your program special?
I spend every moment with Momma& the babies. The puppies are handled & stimulated from birth until they go home. I incorporate puppy culture in my training methods. I do not simply sell the puppies. There is an interview process to try my best to select the perfect forever home. Respectfully, not everyone will be approved for one of my puppies.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red and white, cream, golden, buff and white, black white and tan, brown, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
