Meet the breeder

I'm Michelle B., the breeder behind Uhlan Standard Schnauzers located in Gloucester County, VA. Our litters are raised with Avidog and Puppy Culture, including early neurological stimulation, early scent introduction, noise desensitization, and socialization to people and other pets. I am an AKC Bronze Breeder of Merit and AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T member who supports breeder education, health testing, and has a strong desire to preserve standard schnauzers as a working breed.

Q. & A. with Michelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up in a family who bred dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

In addition to excellent companions our dogs are competing in Conformation, Scentwork, Barn Hunt, Agility, Rally, and Obedience. These are the "dogs with the human brain!"
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are pepper and salt. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
