Meet the breeder

I'm Callie D., the breeder behind Unity Great Danes & Staffs located in Cleveland, OH. We are hobby preservation breeders who show and health test our Great Danes. We are designated AKC Breeders of Merit. We teach our puppies to be family companions and great breed ambassadors. Breeding healthy, well-rounded and happy dogs to the standard is our goal.

Q. & A. with Callie

  • Why did you start breeding?

In high school after attending my 1st dog show, I wanted to be able to breed, train, and show my own dogs. We searched for a few years while raising children and started on the path to fulfilling my dream. Great mentors filled me with important knowledge while also sharing some pitfalls to be aware of. I learn something every day.
  • What makes your program special?

My puppy owners still call and thank me for doing the research of parents, early mental stimulation, and socializing with my puppies that allow them to have healthy, easily trainable, and loving family members. I try and do more work with crate training, potty training, and simple obedience before they leave me to make it easier for new owners to keep the training going.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
