  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey into breeding Golden Retrievers began with a deep admiration and love for the breed since I was just a child. I wanted to share the joy of owning a Golden Retriever with others and contribute to the preservation and improvement of the breed. I invested significant time in studying the breed standard, attending shows, and connecting with experienced breeders and mentors.

Our commitment to the breed and dedication to producing exceptional Golden Retrievers sets us apart. Our puppies are thriving in service homes, placing best of breed in shows and proving to be the best family dogs. We are always here for our buyers anytime and any day.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Alyssa

Alyssa has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Alyssa partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

"We carefully match each puppy to their home based on temperament, energy level, and overall compatibility with the family’s lifestyle. Puppies are evaluated as they develop, and formal temperament assessments begin around 7 weeks of age. Rather than allowing selection based solely on color or appearance, we use our experience raising the litter from birth to guide placements. This ensures each puppy is set up for long-term success in their home. Families are matched in waitlist order, with consideration of their preferences, goals (companion, active home, etc.), and household dynamics. We work closely with each family during this process and provide guidance to ensure the best possible fit. Our goal is to create lifelong matches not just placements so both puppy and family thrive together. For the safety and well being of our dogs and family, we do not allow in home visits to our private residence. We share many photos and videos of our pups and life with every family."

Puppy prices include a $1,500 deposit and between $3,000 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type 1

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
