I'm Jean V., the breeder behind Valley View Goldens located in Barnstead, NH. Our dogs are part of our family, first and foremost. We complete various health tests prior to breeding and we breed for quality, not quantity. Each puppy is greatly loved by us! We ensure they are socialized, healthy, and prepared to excel in their forever homes. Our dogs are bred for those specifics, and we take pride in our breeding program.
Q. & A. with Jean
Why did you start breeding?
The fulfillment of seeing new puppies born, watching them grow, and helping shape them and train them in preparation for their new forever homes is the most rewarding experience ever! We adore Golden Retrievers. Our dogs have enriched our lives in ways we never imagined, and we are so happy to be able to share the wonderful qualities of the breed with others. Owning a Golden Retriever is a beautiful experience, and it would be our honor to connect you with the perfect new addition to your family!
What makes your program special?
It is our aim to send home a trained, well-behaved, and loved puppy that we would want to have in our own household. Much time and love go into these adorable little cuties. We love them to pieces and trust that you will as well. We breed for the love of it, so we only have 3 (occasionally, but not very often: 4) litters a year. This gives us more time to spend with each litter, and yes, we are always sad to see them go–they are a part of our family, after all.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
Getting a puppy from Jean
Jean has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $1,900 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price depends on the dam and sire, not the gender of the puppy. The price includes first shots, AKC paperwork (mailed to you after proof of spay/neuter has been received by us), a microchip, blanket, toys, treats, training tips, and a health certificate. The $500.00 deposit will hold the buyer’s place in the pick-out order. The actual picking-out of the puppies is not done until the pups are 8 weeks old and ready to go home, as that is the best time to see their color and personality.”
Contract & health guarantee
Jean may provide a written contract or
health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps
protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you
both have a clear understanding of the terms of your
puppy purchase. If Jean offers a contract
or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them.
