I'm LAURA V., the breeder behind Van Der Poodles located in Canton, SD. I have one pair of poodles, Fern is a registered therapy dog and Wendell is a quiet and faithful companion. My pups are well socialized- used to kids and other dogs. They have a head start on grooming and are on a potty schedule.

Why did you start breeding?
I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals and animal reproduction. My career is in reproduction (cattle). I love well bred dogs and people so it was a natural fit.
What makes your program special?
My breeding program is special because of the attention and time spent with each individual pup. I know the traits of the parents and can help families find the pup that will fit them well.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, brown, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from LAURA

LAURA has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, LAURA partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Puppies are matched with families based on what they are looking for in a new family member. I spend a lot of time with these puppies so I get to know their personalities well. Their parents are my personal pets so I know what they bring to the table. Families may choose the gender of their pup and individual pup, I just guide the process by sharing the information I know. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and $900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes full AKC registration, the pup will be up to date on vaccines and will have a health examination done by a veterinarian. All puppies are the same price regardless of sex or coloring.”

Contract & health guarantee

LAURA may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Fern loves everyone, she is a registered therapy dog. She has been in nursing homes and loves to go anywhere I go. She does great in crowds and loves attention. Fern is smart, fun to train and as pretty as they come.

Wendell is gentle soul, he is my velcro dog- he loves to be anywhere I am. Wendell is loyal, has low to medium prey drive and is a smart dog.
