I'm Lisa V., the breeder behind Varnell’s Family Farm located in Floral, AR. We breed with a focus on health and temperament, and we have years of experience in preparing puppies for their forever homes. We spend lots of time socializing and training our pups so they will have a great foundation of good behavior and neurological development.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I received my first poodle when I was 12, instantly I was hooked. I trained her to do many tricks. When my sweet penny past away years later, I was didn’t have a poodle for years. When I hit my 30s depression and anxiety consumed me, then came Sophie, my first Standard Poodle. She help so much, words cannot explain. And that is what I do now, my goal is to raise calm companions to help people.
  • What makes your program special?

    I vet my customers, some people need help choosing a puppy. Standard Poodles are high maintenance and there needs can be a lot. My goal is to breed very calm, healthy companions.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Goldendoodle puppies are standard size. Poodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Goldendoodle puppies are red. Poodle puppies include apricot, black, red, white, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $600 - $1,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Sebaceous Adenitis (SA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
