I'm Misty W., the breeder behind Velocity Great Danes located in Elizabeth, IL. Our Danes used for breeding are AKC Champions as we believe in the evaluation of our breeding dogs. We have fun showing our Danes and being involved in the Great Dane community of responsible breeders whose goals are to preserve our amazing breed.
Q. & A. with Misty
Why did you start breeding?
After co-owning my first show Dane with my mentor she allowed me to breed her after another Dane I had purchased and shown came down with Addison's disease and I spayed her. She trusted me to always do right with my Danes, with any puppies that would be produced and with my future puppy families. We shared the same vision of producing quality dogs that had longevity and sound temperaments.
What makes your program special?
You don't just get a quality puppy from me but a life-long support system. My puppy people become my extended family and I keep in touch with them via social media, texts, and phone calls on a regular basis.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
