Velox Siberians

Katie S.

Breeder of Siberian Huskies

Meet the breeder

I'm Katie S., the breeder behind Velox Siberians located in Bethlehem, GA. A small Siberian Husky kennel dedicated to the health, structure, and historical working ability of the Siberian Husky. We show in AKC conformation and performance sports. I strive to produce happy healthy dogs that will thrive as active companions, show dogs, and/or performance sport dogs.

Q. & A. with Katie

  • Why did you start breeding?

My first dogs had genetic health issues and while caring for them and learning about their health issues, I began researching what caused them. This started my interest in genetics and began my journey learning about reputable dog breeders that breed for health, temperament, and structure of their dogs. I am passionate about Siberian Huskies and want to make a positive contribution to the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

I make sure that I am breeding dogs who have good health, temperament, and structure by showing in AKC dog shows, doing breed appropriate health tests through OFA, and running my dogs recreationally in dryland mushing. I do not believe in cutting corners or that people who want a happy health pet deserve anything less than someone wanting their next show dog. My dogs are my pets first.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
