Meet the breeder

I'm Alyssa Z., the breeder behind Vermächtnis German Shepherds located in Union Grove, WI. At Vermächtnis German Shepherds, we honor the legacy of the breed through health-tested, stable, and versatile dogs. Our puppies are raised with early training and socialization to build confidence, setting them up for success as loyal family companions, sport, or working partners.

Q. & A. with Alyssa

  • Why did you start breeding?

We began breeding to preserve strong private bloodlines that were at risk of being lost. With a deep respect for the German Shepherd’s heritage, we chose to continue these lines so their health, temperament, and working ability could be carried forward for future generations through Vermächtnis German Shepherds.
  • What makes your program special?

What sets Vermächtnis German Shepherds apart is our commitment to raising well-rounded dogs through early training, socialization, and exposure. We combine health-tested bloodlines with a focus on sound temperament, structure, and working ability, ensuring each puppy is prepared for success as a trusted companion or capable partner.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, black and tan, black and silver, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
