Meet the breeder

I'm Robbi, the breeder behind Very Special Mini Schnauzers located in Auburn, GA. Our dogs are our beloved companions. We care deeply about this breed and are proud to be responsible Mini Schnauzer breeders. We give our dogs the best lives possible. We are looking for families and individuals that will provide our puppies with the same level of love and care.

Q. & A. with Robbi

  • Why did you start breeding?

When I was a child, our pet miniature poodle and pet yorkie had puppies. I got to see them be born. I was fascinated with how instinctively wise the mother was, taking care of everything her pups needed as each came into the world. Later my best friend in high school bred golden labs and I would come over to help with births and puppy chores. I was hooked! Later, after we started our family we were looking to add just the right puppy to grow with our children. We watched every episode of Dogs 101 and Breed All About It with our little girls and finally settled on the Miniature Schnauzer. Smart, sturdy, loyal and loving, a perfect 4-legged family member to grow with our kiddos!
  • What makes your program special?

My husband, a long time dog lover, developed a dog allergy later in life. We were all sad, thinking we couldn’t have a dog anymore. We found though that he could tolerate certain low shedding, hypoallergenic breeds. That led us to Miniature Schnauzers and F1b Goldendoodles. Our dogs are Embark tested to be clear of genetic illnesses but also to ensure their coats are low shedding and hypoallergenic.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include wheaten, white, and black and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Our recent experience with Robbi from Very Special Mini Schnauzers was a delight. Our new boy, Oliver, is a joy and thriving daily. Robbi is extremely responsive and helpful with guiding us throughout the process of acquiring "Ollie". This breeder is knowledgeable and assure the pup had been properly attended to by a vet prior to pickup. Robbi also made sure the pickup location was safe and easy to locate. I highly recommend Robbi and Good Dog. C. Allen

Our experience adopting Lucy was wonderful! Robbi was easy to work with, well-organized, and communicated promptly. Our new puppy was just was we hoped in appearance, temperament, activity, etc. (and just as Robbi described on her Good Dog page. She obviously loved her puppies and was committed to ensuring that they would have a good start with their new families. She was well-prepared with registration materials, vet records, and a puppy welcome pack! We could not have been more pleased, and we're sure that Lucy will be a much-loved family member for many years! Thank you Robbi!

Robbi was very responsive and truly great to work with. She answers any questions i had and provided me with all necessary documents once I got Milo. Robbi docked his tail, removed his extra claw, got him 8 week shots and AKC certified him before I even picked him up. Everybody loves Milo and he loves us!!! He’s very smart, confident and great with my 5yr old. Thanks Robbi ;)
