I'm Patience B., the breeder behind Villa-Danes Von Kraus located in French Creek, WV. We breed first and foremost for health and conformation. Our goal is to not only preserve this amazing breed, but to better it as well. All our dogs are healthy tested via DNA disease panel as well as OFA hips, heart, eyes etc. Lifelong experience with this breed, and we strive to always learn more.

Why did you start breeding?
From a very young age, I've always known I wanted to do something in my life that involved animals. I've taken some courses as a dog trainer (though I'm not certified) and gained a lot of knowledge there. Growing up on a farm, I was able to see the miracle of new life more than once. Continuing a farm and breeding my heart dogs seemed like a no brainer.
What makes your program special?
Not only do we strive for health, temperament, and conformation; but we also understand the daily struggles that everyday life can bring. Having been a healthcare provider myself, with first responder fiance and military family members, I've decided to offer a 25% off our amazing dogs/puppies to any first responder, healthcare or military personnel/veteran. Quality, with heart.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include merlequin, silver, mantle merle, chocolate brindle, chocolate and white, chocolate, blue brindle, blue and white, black and white, brindle, fawn, blue, harlequin, mantle, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Patience

Patience has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Patience partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes AKC registration, veterinary health check and first vaccinations/wormings, microchipped, genetic health guarantee, return contract, puppy pack, early socialization and potty training! Our puppies price only varies slightly by parentage, and the registration requested. (Ex.; full registration will be a different process and price than limited/pet registration).”

Patience may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Spotlight Saturday!! Just look at this girls sweet face. Just look at it. I have had little interest in my dark girls because everyone thinks they’re black. (Which hello, a black Dane is STUNNING, so I don’t get that either.) But these girls are actually brindle. The black base with the cream/golden/brown stripes are what’s called a “reverse brindle”). And they are truly stunning, especially in the sunlight! It’s why I’m keeping this girls sister 😉 So someone really needs to snatch up little Miss Nova here! She is spunky and playful, yet sweet and lovable. She’s the first to explore anything, was the first to crawl and walk despite being the runt (she’s pretty well caught up with her siblings now). Shes picking things up very quickly! And look at all those little white touches 😍

Zira is our up and coming athlete! She is built like a brick house, with a loving nature, and an adventurous side! She loves people, has a curious side, and an excellent off switch. She has completed her Embark DNA panel, carries blue, chocolate and harlequin. Her OFA testing is pending (she just turned 2 May 18, 2026).

Cruella is a female Great Dane over 4 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Patience decided to make her part of their program. Patience has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Dentition
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
