Meet the breeder
I'm Kyle J., the breeder behind Vom Haus Highlands located in Philippi, WV. Vom Haus Highlands is a small breeder of high quality working line German Shepherds. All dogs selected for our breeding program have undergone rigorous health and temperament screening. We have hand selected and imported our dogs based on their outstanding temperaments and workability from Europe. Our goal is to provide well rounded healthy dogs with outstanding temperament’s. Our puppies start their Biosensor training on day three and we raise them using the latest puppy culture techniques. Our pups are suitable for a wide range of disciplines to include but not be limited to service/emotional support dogs, family/personal protection, search and rescue (SAR), high level competition, police/military and breeding programs. All puppies are born and raised in our home. All of our dogs are treated as members of our family, receive the best care and live very rewarding and meaningful lives. We offer on site pickup and hand delivery anywhere in the United States. International import and export services also available.

Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding because I wanted to share this remarkable breed and my knowledge with others. I have seen firsthand the importance of health testing, sound temperament’s, making decisions based on improving the breed and providing the absolute best puppy and service I can to my clients.What makes your program special?
My breeding program is special because I put my dogs and clients first. My mission is to provide my dogs with the absolute best life possible and to provide my clients with the best puppy and experience I can. When you choose us you become a part of our extended family! Each puppy that I raise has a special place in my heart and take’s with it all the love and joy that I have put in.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Kyle has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Kyle partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape.

Price
“Average price is $3500-$6500 including a $500 deposit. Includes deworming, vaccinations, vet check, early socialization, crate/house training, microchip, puppy starter kit, Pre paid AKC registration and health guarantee. As well as lifetime breeder support. Pick’s are determined on the order in which deposits have been received and the temperament/projected life style of the pup. Deposit is only refundable if I as the breeder back out of the sale.”

About Norik
Norik is a new addition to my breeding program. He was imported from the Czech Republic and has a IGP3 working title which is the highest level a dog can achieve. He received the best ratings for hips and elbows and is DM clear. Norik is a higher drive dog with an insatiable appetite for work. He is quite the charming guy and exudes both elegance and power. He is very friendly outgoing and confident. Having just turned 9 he is noble and it is hard to believe he is 9 years old. He is a testament to quality genetics and outgoing breeding practices. I am honored to have this magnificent dog as part of my program.

Afra is a high drive medium sized female that comes from Slavic police lines from her sire’s side. She is always very happy and excited to do just about anything putting 110% into everything she does. Happiness and joy radiate from her and you cant help but to smile leave all your worries behind and just enjoy her company. She has earned the nickname Cha-Cha because she is always dancing around with her happy feet. She is very confident in all situations and although high drive she has a wonderful off switch and settles down very quickly when it’s time to relax. She is very friendly and social with people and dogs while tending to be more neutral with other dogs. She is very handler oriented providing wonderful engagement and a strong desire to please. She is just an extremely well rounded stable dog that everyone falls in love with. She is also a bed hog!

Imported from Slovakia Jag is a stunning large dark sable male. He is fully health tested and titled possessing a Svv1 working dog title. Raised as a police dog in Slovakia Jag is more on the neural side. He is medium to higher drive possessing a clear head and rock solid nerves. Although he is serious when working he also has a fun and affectionate side. He is very well mannered and a joy to have around the house.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

+8I had an amazing experience purchasing my German Shepherd puppy, Bruno (formerly Vito), from Kyle. At first, I was a little skeptical because I wasn’t sure if the Good Dog website was legitimate or if the investment would truly be worth it. Looking back now, I can confidently say it exceeded every expectation I had. After placing the deposit on Bruno, I prepared myself for the typical puppy experience: crying, endless energy, accidents around the house, and chewing on everything in sight. Instead, Bruno has completely surprised me. He is gentle, calm, incredibly intelligent, naturally protective, and has an amazing temperament. He communicates exceptionally well when he needs to go outside, and he even taught himself how to open our automatic door so he can let himself out. He’s fantastic in the car, loves playing with our family dogs and the kids, and has quickly become part of the family. His favorite “toy” seems to be an empty water bottle, if you leave one within reach, he’ll happily claim it! Bruno is being trained to serve as a service dog, and his intelligence, willingness to learn, and calm demeanor have made him an outstanding candidate. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better companion. Although I had questions and concerns at the beginning of the process, Kyle was patient and walked me through everything from start to finish. We experienced one minor hiccup during delivery, but it was addressed immediately, and everything was resolved professionally. Having Bruno home was absolutely worth the wait.
