Q. & A. with Christalynn

  • Why did you start breeding?

I never found exactly what I was looking for in a German Shepherd. I always see room for improvement, both in popular breeding programs, working lines, show lines, and in my own dogs. I got into breeding in order to create, through careful selection, my ideal German Shepherd Dog. My breeding goal is to produce dogs that are excellent in health, temperament, working ability, and structure.
  • What makes your program special?

I train with and title my dogs in IGP (tracking, obedience, and protection sports) and also work with dogs in the Service dog field. My program also goes well above and beyond in regards to health testing—not just hips, elbows and DM, but also full genetic panels. I can provide extensive knowledge and guidance for any family looking to bring home one of these wonderful dogs. I am very dedicated to what I do and what I aim to achieve as a breeder. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the German Shepherd breed.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include plush and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, bi-color, black and tan, and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Christalynn

Christalynn has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Christalynn partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

"Puppies are placed based on careful evaluation and thoughtful matching rather than open selection. With over 20 years of professional training experience, along with a background in both breeding and rescue, each puppy is assessed for temperament, drive, and personality. These traits are then matched to the individual lifestyle, environment, and goals of each home. This approach prioritizes long-term success, ensuring the best possible fit for both the puppy and the family, and fostering strong, lasting relationships."

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
