I'm Michael H., the breeder behind Vomplatken located in Volusia County, FL. We are a home-based Akita breeder with a focus on type, temperament, and beauty. Whether you are looking for a pet or a quality show dog, we have the perfect pup for you! We truly love our dogs and what we do. Many of our dogs have become excellent show prospects, but all of them have become excellent family dogs and lifelong friends!

Why did you start breeding?
I strive to not only produce beautiful puppies and continue my show line but to help set the standard for responsible breeding in order to ensure that the Akita will continue to healthily thrive for generations to come. It is an honor to represent this breed and be able to create new opportunities for others to represent it as well.What makes your program special?
At Vomplatken, I focus on breeding excellence. I selectively choose my breeding pairs for quality and to ensure that I am producing the best puppies that I possibly can. I am very conscious about who I rehome my puppies to and always ensure that each one goes to the best home possible complementary to its personality and ability.
