I'm Lily J., the breeder behind Von Bussler Labradoodles & Retrievers located in West Frankfort, IL. We breed puppies ONLY from health tested parents. Our babies are born and raised indoors, never in an outside kennel. Consider us for your new puppy! We are located in Southern Illinois. and are considered to have some of the highest breeding standards among Midwestern breeders. My ex-husband is a veterinarian, which I feel gives me a little bit of an "edge" on puppy care and delivery.

Why did you start breeding?
In 2011, I acquired Elsa, a very nicely bred American Field Lab. Elsa and I joined a Search and Rescue team. I loved watching her learn and develop! I came to feel that the Labrador retriever is the perfect "all-around" family dog and I developed a breeding program to attempt to provide families with a beautiful puppy with the greatest genetic advantage toward health and temperament. IWhat makes your program special?
We breed with health and temperament as our primary focus. I was awarded the 2015 Breeder of Improved Health and Breeder of Improved Genetics awards by the Improvement Movement, which set goals for improved breeding standards among Labrador retriever breeders. Unfortunately, the organization is no longer active. However, we continue to strive for improvement in all aspects of our programWhat are the different breed sizes in your program?

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $1,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Lily may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

The transaction was very professional and friendly. And the Puppy, Magnolia, seems very happy and healthy so far. Lily, I believe was the breeders name (I’m bad at remembering names though) she had a lot of information about the parents and their health histories. All of which she sent home with us for reference. It was all around a very good experience
