I'm Marsha W., the breeder behind Walker Miniature Schnauzers located in Harvest, AL. Puppies are loved and played with daily and socialized with other people and dogs. I have been breeding Miniature Schnauzers for 9 years but have had them as pets for over 20 years. I only have two or three litters a year and raise them in my home. My parent dogs have been Embark tested to verify that they are healthy and free of genetic disease tested by Embark. All puppies are well socialized with other people and are loved and held everyday. They are doggie door trained before leaving my home and also have begun crate training. This is a hobby for me in my retirement and I thoroughly enjoy it. I love it when I see the joy they bring to so many families.
Q. & A. with Marsha
Why did you start breeding?
I had Miniature Schnauzers as pets starting in 1999. After they passed away, I decided that I would get another male and female and would start breeding them during my retirement. I did a lot of research on breeding and also had close friends that were breeders that gave me a lot of good advice.
What makes your program special?
I put a lot of time into my puppies. I love them and play with them everyday. When my puppies go to their new homes, they are already doggy door trained and crate trained so that it will be an easy transition. Since my puppies are raised in my home, it is essential that they begin house training and socialization with my adult dogs and learn to play and get along with others.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include wheaten, parti, and black and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
