I'm Shane D., the breeder behind War Eagle Kennel located in Ontario, OR. We have been breeding dogs for decades, starting with working stock dogs on our dairy/farm. After selling the dairy we continued to provide healthy & true to breed pups in small quantities to loving homes that vary from city to farm life and everything in between. We take a lot of pride in our work!

Why did you start breeding?
Out of necessity for working dogs but have continued the passion ever since.What makes your program special?
We take immense pride in the health, appearance, and temperament of our dogs. They are a culmination of a lot of years of well though out planned breedings, producing dogs that not only look good but hold true to the breed standard and are versatile enough to be a house pet or go out and work.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, blue merle, black tri, red tri, red, and black. Miniature American Shepherd puppies include red tri-color, black & white, black tri, black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Shane
Shane has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $800 - $3,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes a 1 year health guarantee on congenital defects, AKC registration, vaccination and deworming, socialization. The deposit holds the puppy of choice until arrangements can be made with the families to pick their babies up. Refundable only if something happens to the puppy in our care.”
Contract & health guarantee
Shane may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
