Meet the breeder

I'm Debra W., the breeder behind Warwick’s Central California Goldens located in Fresno, CA. While our goal is to share loving puppies with families, we are still a selective program. We only breed when we’re sure we can produce the healthiest and best example of the breed possible. Our puppies are hand raised and loved in our home and from day 3-16 we administer ENS for healthy pups.

Q. & A. with Debra

  • Why did you start breeding?

We lost our first Golden at 2 years of age. Best dog ever but had massive health issues. At that point I never wanted anyone else to experience the heartbreak that we went through losing our girl. This got me started with learning about Golden’s and then doing my best to breed healthy and well adapted puppies for other families to love and experience the joy of a Healthy Golden puppy.
  • What makes your program special?

We put love into our babies and every puppy family becomes part of our family. We keep track of the puppies and become very close with each and every one of our puppies. I’m always there to give support and also share any information that I have learned if there is ever a concern and I have even baby sat for families when they have taken vaccinations and needed a safe environment for their babies
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Debra was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire process of bringing Russell home. From the beginning, she was kind, communicative, and clearly cared deeply about her puppies. She consistently sent photos, videos, and even FaceTimed with us, which made us feel so connected and reassured while waiting for him. Russell has the sweetest temperament. He is loving, gentle, smart, and has fit into our family so naturally. You can tell he was raised with care and intention from the very beginning. We also appreciated how thoughtful Debra was after adoption. She checked in on Russell, answered questions, and genuinely cared about how he was adjusting. That meant so much to us. We are so grateful for our boy and would absolutely recommend Debra to anyone looking for a well-loved and well-raised golden retriever.

I had an amazing experience with Warwick’s Goldens and couldn’t be happier with our dog. From the very beginning, communication was clear, timely, and honest. They were knowledgeable about the breed and took the time to answer all my questions, which made the entire process feel thoughtful and transparent. It’s clear that Debra/Warwick’s Goldens truly cares about the health, temperament, and well-being of their dogs. Our puppy came home healthy, well-socialized, and already showing signs of a great temperament. We also received helpful guidance, documentation, and support, which made the transition home smooth and stress-free. What stood out most was the breeder’s professionalism and genuine passion for what they do. They were organized, ethical, and clearly invested in placing their puppies in the right homes. Even after pickup, they remained available for questions and support, which speaks volumes about their commitment. I would confident recommend Warwick’s Goldens to anyone looking for a responsible, reputable breeder. We are so grateful for our experience and for the wonderful dog we now have as part of our family.

My experience with Debra has been nothing short of remarkable. Our beautiful baby girl, Chloé, has brought an immense amount of joy (and hilarity) to our family. Debra sent photos and videos daily prior to our pickup day and it only made meeting Chloé an even more special treat than we'd imagined. Our personal vet's well check went incredibly well, with the vet remarking that Chloé was in perfect health and offering kudos to the breeder. All of the techs at the clinic fell in love with her immediately! Debra truly is a loving, caring, responsible breeder who dots all of her "i"s and crosses all of her "t"s when it comes to ensuring her puppies are in perfect health, go to loving homes, and are set up for success as that progress from puppy to adult. I'm pretty fastidious in my businesses, so it was refreshing to do business with someone equally so. I'm so grateful for Debra, Warwick's Central California Goldens, and the Good Dog platform. We've found our perfect little munchkin and couldn't be happier!

If you are looking for a responsible, caring, and knowledgeable Golden Retriever breeder, look no further than Debra Warwick. My wife and I recently brought home our puppy, Sky, and the entire experience with Debra was absolutely phenomenal. From the very beginning, Debra was incredibly transparent and helpful, sharing deep insights about the breed and her highly selective breeding program. It is abundantly clear that she truly cares about the long-term well-being of her dogs. The entire adoption process was smooth, professional, and well-organized. What really stood out to us was the ongoing support and detailed care instructions she provided to ensure we were fully prepared for this commitment. We are so in love with our little Golden, and we cannot thank Debra enough for bringing such a wonderful, healthy, and happy addition into our home. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top-tier breeder!

I had the very best experience with Debra ! She was the first breeder that I’ve ever used. She was very sweet and made getting my little man so easy and stress free! She was very good at sending videos and pictures and FaceTiming me with Finnegan! She used his name every chance she got. I used her flight nanny to get Finnegan home and that was a very smooth process as well. Finnegan is an angel sent from GOD above through Debra, and I could not be more grateful to her! He is the absolute Love of my life and he’s a perfect addition to my small little family! I would recommend her 10 out of 10 !

I'm very happy with the puppy (Lizzy) we got from Debbie. This is my 6th golden and 5th one I raised as a puppy. Lizzy is by far the easiest puppy I’ve raised and I attribute it to the early socialization she received and her temperment. She likes all people, birds, dogs and cats. Also not afraid of loud noises including fireworks. In looking back at the evaluation of Lizzy performed by Debbie, it turned out to be pretty close to her current personality. I would say that Debbie raises some quality Golden Retrievers.
