As conscientious breeders, we are proud of the loving, smart, beautiful, and sound puppies we’re able to provide for others. We are a selective breeding program that focuses on temperament and the overall well-being of our dogs. We breed to produce happy and healthy puppies that can continue to thrive in their forever homes.

Getting a puppy from Corinna

  • Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    We had an excellent experience with Corinna and Wasatch Back Companions! We wanted a slightly older puppy and were thrilled to find 5.5 month old retriever Blitz was friendly, obedient, and perfect for our family! Corinna was very specific and forthcoming about the varying skills and personalities her puppies had, and that was incredibly useful as we met them and tried to figure out what best suited our family dynamic. We have had him for several weeks now, and it is clear he is a very physically healthy, emotionally balanced and well-trained dog. We know that this is a direct result of Corinna's dedication to her dogs, and we appreciated how clear her instructions were to us on how to make our puppy's transition easier to our home. Corinna is thoughtful, thorough, honest, and kind was very quick and organized with all the logistics and paperwork. She has communicated well with us throughout the process, and has even made a few follow up calls just to be sure everything is going smoothly. As brand new dog parents, this has been very helpful!
