I'm Wendy C., the breeder behind Weco Danes located in New Castle, PA. Weco Danes is built upon a foundation of love, admiration, & respect for the Great Dane. We offer top-quality pups bred with love! In a list of importance, my number one priority is temperament followed closely by health and conformation. My dogs are companions first and show dogs second. I enjoy showing in conformation and have several dogs who work as therapy dogs. My goal is to provide families with well-rounded companions.
Q. & A. with Wendy
Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved the Great Dane breed but did not own one until about 35 years ago. The first Dane I bred was mantle colored. I then purchased a brindle and began showing in conformation. She became a champion and following her health testing, I bred her. I have been breeding fawn and brindle colored Danes ever since. I continue to show in conformation and have also been training for therapy work. Currently, I am pursuing my judging license through AKC.
What makes your program special?
My dogs are healthy, well socialized, and incredibly loved. My breeding program is unique because of the time and attention I take with each breeding and the care I take to match the right families with my puppies. It would be my pleasure to introduce you to your next Great Dane!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brindle and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
