Meet the breeder

I'm Becky W., the breeder behind Welch Family Golden Retrievers located in Colchester, IL. All of our dogs are part of the family. All dogs are shown in Conformation, obedience, agility and hunting skills. We make sure that our stock can hold up over time in the working arena, and pass that strength on to the puppies we produce.

Q. & A. with Becky

  • What makes your program special?

All of our dogs are part of the family. Everything we raise is used in Conformation, obedience, agility and hunting skills. Each dog has it's own unique personality and we encourage that uniqueness. Each of our dogs has to prove themselves before they are bred. We feel it is important to breed working qualities, and pass that strength on.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We ask for a deposit to hold a puppy just for you. We work hard to match each puppy with their future homes and knowing for sure where they are going makes that process much more effective for all of us.”
