The pups had their first grooming today. Each pup had a bath in the sink followed by a towel dry and a bit of blow dry. Then, they each got their ears cleaned and finished up with a good nail clipping. But the grand finale was ,of course, an adorable puppy pile up naptime. I included photos of the things we use for grooming because this is what we like the most after trying various brands.

Two weeks until the puppies start to go home.In the meantime, everybody is enjoying snuggles

Max and Minnie's litter

The pups are about 3 and a half weeks now. Their eyes are open. They are starting to walk a bit, and they have sprouted teeth. Today they will experience mushy puppy food for the first time and move to a larger area for them to start weening and learn to play and grow more independent from mom. Until Valentine’s when they can begin to go to their new homes. Right now our family is enjoying watching them grow and giving them lots of love. They are all so adorable and sweet!

The puppies are here! The boys are downstairs “Maxin”and relaxin. Momma is upstairs resting with her pups. More news on coloring and sex soon. For Minnie and pups nap after a long night of labor and delivery. ♥️🐶

Basset Hound
About Maggie
Maggie is our 4th dog. She is a future dam. For now she is enjoying the life of a playful young hound. She and Miles love to run around and chase each other with toys (for 5-10 bursts). Then it’s time to find a soft place to cuddle, or a person to pet her belly.

Basset Hound
About Max
Max is a male Basset Hound. Carefully selected as a great representative of his breed, Tiffany decided to make him part of their program. Tiffany has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Basset Hound
About Miles
Miles is a laid back, sleepy basset. It takes him a couple minutes to stretch and wake up before he moves in the morning and after his naps. He is definitely a lover. However, when he sleeps he likes his own space. He often naps in his crate or on the couch. He is vocal when he is excited. He sometimes whines when he thinks he is getting less attention that the other bassets. He is 75% European, and AKC registered.

About Minnie
Minnie is a petite girl, but she is in control. She loves to curl up on your lap, but if the doorbell rings, or she hears a knock, she is immediately on her feet and ready to protect her tribe. She is a great momma. She takes care of her babies and is protective, but she likes to have her breaks to play with boys now and then. She naps wherever she wants because she is the queen. She is a daddy's girl all the way. She is 25% European and NAPR registered.

Tiffany was amazing and very knowledgeable about the breed. She was a great communicator and sent me plenty of updates. I picked up Copper and he already knew his name and they updated me on everything I needed to do when we got home. So happy I used Good Dog and that we got our sweet boy! Highly recommend!!
