I'm Stephanie K., the breeder behind Wendy’s Wings located in Coatesville, IN. Wendy’s Wings is built on 16+ years of dedication to the Papillon breed named after my first papillon. Our dogs are fully health-tested, intentionally paired, and lovingly raised in our home. We strive to produce Papillons who are not only sound in structure, but rich in spirit, joy, and heart.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Having a pack of 6 Papillons was pure joy, & it inspired me to share this incredible breed with other families.Their intelligence, spirit, & devotion deserve to be experienced by more than just me. After my first Papillon passed at 16, I established Wendy’s Wings in her honor. While health will always be our foundation, my mission is every family should have the chance to know their love.

  • What makes your program special?

    I raise Papillons the way I wish every breeder did. With intention. With love. With transparency. With a genuine desire to share the joy that changed my life. Breeders are always learning but my passion stemmed from love and experience-now I am exploring and sharing my experiences with others.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red white and sable and white black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Stephanie

Stephanie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Stephanie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $600 non-refundable deposit that secures a specific puppy. The remaining $1,900 - $3,400 is due before pickup, plus applicable taxes and fees.

Contract & health guarantee

Stephanie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I), Factor VII Deficiency, DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    My story of taking home the precious gift of Bonnie is a truly magical one. Stephanie and I got in touch in the most healing way possible. My first papillon, Abbie was gifted to me for my 16th birthday. She was truly my best friend. My little shadow who followed me and watched me every where I went. She was my baby. My little bumble bee I called her 🐝🥰 I had my sweet beautiful Abbie until 1 month after she turned 17. It was the hardest goodbye. Heart broken and grieving I took her puppy paperwork and started tracing her pedigree to find any ancestor of her I could find. That search lead me straight to Stephanie. I found that Abbie was Wendy’s great niece through her dad’s side. I went back and forth on messaging her but finally got the courage to reach out to her through gooddog! Stephanie answered me immediately and was incredibly gracious and curious to hear my story about Abbie and connecting her to her baby Wendy. She told me her amazing story of Wendy. Wendy also lived to 17! And had sadly passed a year before Abbie. Stephanie also tried tracing her ancestors too! Her deep love for Wendy is the guiding force for starting Wendy’s Wings 🪽 🩷🥹 This connection we made through our love for our first papillon babies was meant to be. I had asked Stephanie when she had a potential litter coming if she wouldn’t mind reaching out to me. In May she let me know babies were coming! On the 29th she was soo kind to send me all the mamas and their babies just a day after being born! From there Bell (now Bonnie) instantly caught my eye. Her mama looked so much like my Abbie. I was also originally going to name Abbie Bella since I was reading twilight at the time haha 😂 but from there the coincidences keep telling me that Bonnie was meant for me. I choose to name her Bonnie because I wanted to play a homage to Abbie’s namesake. Abbie my beautiful little bumble bee 🐝, my little B. Bell or Bella can mean beautiful and that’s exactly what Bonnie is! My Bonnie lass! Such a beautiful girl. And another little tiny Bee 🐝 and her name even ending in another ie! Stephanie was such an amazing breeder to work with. She kept me updated on Bonnie every step of the way. Always sending the sweetest pictures and updates! And another coincidence..Bonnie was going to be ready to go home on Abbie’s birthday 🌈✨🥹 Her pick up date was soo beautiful and emotional. Meeting Stephanie in person, her handing Bonnie to me..I will cherish forever. It felt like Abbie sent me to find Stephanie and she in return gifted me the most soul healing experience I ever had. And on Abbie’s birthday! Bonnie is a gift from my beautiful bumble bee and Stephanie 🥹🩷✨🪽! Stephanie even gave me a collar for Bonnie that had a bumble bee charm on it that matched a necklace I wear for my Abbie, it’s like Stephanie just knew ✨✨ I would absolutely recommend Stephanie to anyone looking for the most compassionate and caring person/breeder! She loves her papillons so much and puts in so much detail and dedication to gift these babies. I truly consider her a friend after all we’ve been through together. Wendy and Abbie had a magic together that united us in the most incredible way! I truly believe in signs and I believe this was always meant to be.     Now that I am home with my new bestie, I realize how lucky I was to have found Stephanie. She answered my initial application very quickly and was posting pictures from the day the puppies were born. She also posted pictures of the Sire and Dam which was very important to me. I was able to choose my puppy within days of her birth. From then on it was pictures and answers to my questions almost daily. I saw Lilly nursing, eating her first solid meal, her weigh-ins, trips to the vet, etc. It was as if I was right there. And, I know my little Lilly was well loved even before she came to me. I don’t think you will find a more attentive, knowledgeable and compassionate breeder as Stephanie.
