I'm Johnathan W., the breeder behind Were The Mack'Doodles located in Houston, TX. Breeding Goldendoodles for 3 years, I partner with Make-A-Wish to give back while doing what I love—raising healthy dogs and finding them the right homes. I also enjoy creating my own marketing and branding, blending passion, purpose, and community into every puppy placement.

Why did you start breeding?
“I grew up surrounded by dogs, and their unconditional love shaped who I am. Breeding became a way to honor that bond—and to honor Jaxson, my best friend’s son, whose Make‑A‑Wish trip he never got to take. Partnering with Make‑A‑Wish lets me give back in his name and turn my work with dogs into something meaningful for other families.”What makes your program special?
“I proudly donate a puppy to Make‑A‑Wish and stay committed to raising healthy, well‑trained pups in a loving, clean environment. I’m always learning and educating others, and in 2026 our program takes a creative, futuristic turn. Puppy prices include a $600 non-refundable deposit and between $2,200 - $2,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Johnathan was a true joy to work with and I’d highly recommend him for anyone looking to adopt a puppy! Throughout this entire process Johnathan provided thorough updates on our puppy’s growth, he allowed us to visit him on multiple occasions, and was responsive to all our questions. His professionalism and experience breeding dogs shows. He shared updates on our puppy’s weight, eating habits, temperament, and vaccinations. There was no doubt that we’d get a dog with exposure to sounds, baths, and overall handling which I’m sure will come in handy for future grooms. My spouse and I are local to Houston so we were able to visit our puppy on multiple occasions. For those that may not be local, Johnathan will also use social media to post weekly updates and share live video footage of the entire litter. By the time our puppy came home we felt like we already knew some of his personality and mannerisms.
