I'm Johnathan W., the breeder behind Were The Mack'Doodles located in Houston, TX. Breeding Goldendoodles for 3 years, I partner with Make-A-Wish to give back while doing what I love—raising healthy dogs and finding them the right homes. I also enjoy creating my own marketing and branding, blending passion, purpose, and community into every puppy placement.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    “I grew up surrounded by dogs, and their unconditional love shaped who I am. Breeding became a way to honor that bond—and to honor Jaxson, my best friend’s son, whose Make‑A‑Wish trip he never got to take. Partnering with Make‑A‑Wish lets me give back in his name and turn my work with dogs into something meaningful for other families.”

  • What makes your program special?

    My program is built on ethical breeding, hands‑on socialization, and full transparency. I open my home so families can meet puppies in a real environment. To protect my time and ensure serious inquiries, a $100 visitation deposit is required. It applies toward your puppy and is non‑refundable if you choose not to purchase.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Poodle puppies are standard size. Cockapoo puppies are standard size. Goldendoodle puppies include medium and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Poodle puppies include apricot, black, cream, and phantom. Cockapoo puppies include cream, brown roan and tan, black and white, and brown and tan. Goldendoodle puppies include apricot, red, chocolate, black, phantom, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Johnathan

Johnathan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Johnathan partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $600 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $2,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Pricing reflects 8 weeks of nonstop care—cleaning, calls, sleepless nights, plus vaccines, deworming, socialization, puppy packs, and parent records—all done by me alone. Deposit will be nonrefundable. You may use your deposit for the next litter.”

Johnathan may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Full Embark Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
