I'm Barbara M., the breeder behind West Coast Doodles located in Tehachapi, CA. As conscientious breeders, we are proud of the loving, smart, beautiful, and sound puppies we’re able to provide for others. We are a selective breeding program that focuses on temperament and the overall well-being of our dogs. We breed to produce happy and healthy puppies that can continue to thrive in their forever homes.

Why did you start breeding?
I started breeding Jyn as a guardian owner. I still work closely with my mentor and veterinarian to ensure all are in good health and have the best development possible.
What makes your program special?
We are a home educating family and our children are literally with the pups all day long :) We love them and while it's hard to let them go, we know that we can find only the most perfect loving homes for them to be raised with.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black and white, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Barbara
Barbara has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $300 deposit and between $700 - $3,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes warranty, excellent socialization, vet health check, first round of vaccinations, deworming,. I do not require a financial commitment prior to purchasing the puppy if the puppy does not have to be delivered or flown. I will count part of your total price as a deposit ($500) regardless of upfront payment as a guarantee of your commitment to the puppy.. this "deposit" is non-refundable.”

protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you
both have a clear understanding of the terms of your
puppy purchase. If Barbara offers a contract
or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them.

About Jyn
Jyn is an F1 Bernedoodle with an excellent demeanor. She’s an attentive and loving mama and in perfect health. She smiles a lot and loves loves! Her favorite things are car rides, belly rubs, and holding hands (sometimes holding hands on a car ride). She is nearly three years old (born Fall of 2019).

Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
